Okay, y'all know I hate relationship goals but I love me a good TV couple. I really get emotionally attached to TV shows a lot of times to the point I feel like I know them personally. I decided to share with y'all my favorite TV show couples just because... why not?
Darla/Ralph Angel
Bianca Lawson and Kofi Siriboe play in Queen Sugar as Darla and Ralph Angel. First off, let me say I love Darla. I feel so emotionally connected to her and will write a seperate post about her once this season is over. If anybody watches this show you would understand that RA and Darla’s relationship isn’t perfect. Its been quite a wild ass rollercoaster but I love how they love each other. A couple episodes ago RA said something so strong “They ain’t even obligations. I can just see now that if she’s hurting, I’m hurting. If she bleed, I bleed. I ain’t even sure it’s much of a choice at this point but I’m still in love with Darla.” This was beautifully said, with all they went through (a fucking lot) the love is still there no matter how hard they try to stay away from each other. Now him and Darla aren’t together currently but I see a hopeful reunion by the season finale.
Chuck/Blair
Lawd, Blair and Chuck will forever be a favorite of mines. Played by Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick on Gossip Girl this show was definitely my drug. Now if you follow the show Chuck and Blair done been through a lot separately, tbh, everybody was messing with everyone. One couple I always wanted together through the end was Blair and Chuck. They were literally male/female versions of each other. Now what I loved about them was that even through they tried to stay far away from each other, hell Blair was about to marry some douche, they always found their way back to each other. Chuck was so complex and it really only took one person to get him to act right. He always stopped everything for Blair no matter the situation which is why I stan.
Will/Lisa
If you watched Fresh Prince then Will and Lisa was my fav! Played by Will Smith and Nia Long I literally loved them together. Honestly I love Nia Long in all her romance show/movies. It's kinda weird thinking about it now because they are step brother and sisters after their parents got married after them cancelling it. Regardless, the reason I loved them was because always did what was best for both parties.
Cory/Topanga
I stan! One of my favs since a child was Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World. Played by Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel I loved almost everything about their relationship. Started off hating each other then as best friends and on and off bf/gf to tying the knot on the last episode. It was honestly the best, watching it as a kid I absolutely loved the show and Topanga. I shipped them together from episode 1.
Michaela/Asher
Listen, even though they aren't together right now Michaela and Asher was so cute together! Played by Aja Naomi King and Matt McGorry I loved the dynamic of them. Michaela was more serious and Asher plays so much so I feel like they balanced each other out. Not sure if they will get back together in this last season but I still love how much Ashers looks out for her regardless of the things they been through.
Nuri/Yasir
Honestly I am still heartbroken they canceled the season we had so much more to learn from them. In Love Is, Nuri and Yasir was really a couple I felt in real life. Played by Michele Weaver and William Catlett they really embodied what 'love is'. Though I only got to experience them for one season I just knew they showed what everything is about. They went through so much in so little time. They fell for each other in like 2 hours but I absolutely love the dynamic of their characters.
Whitley/Dwayne
Lets be honest, we all want that Whitley and Dwayne type love! Played by Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison, A Different World is just that show PERIOD. We love a good funny couple. To be honest this show in all was amazing and I really wish my whole college experience felt like this. Good thing we can replay each show and scene to just.... dream lol.
Betty/Jugghead
I love Riverdale! I am not up to date on this season so I don't know the current status of their relationship but I love me some Jugghead and Betty. Played by Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, Betty and Jugghead was that ride or die couple! I love it cause they both with all that gang gang nonsense. No but seriously they done been through so much I just love how they stay down for one another.
