4 Self-Love poetry reads to check out!

Hello my loves! I hope everyone is enjoying the summertime and all sunshine it brings. For all my beauties who need a new read I have 4 short poetry books that I love and has helped me a lot when I am going through something.

1) Rest in the Mourning

Rest in the Mourning is poetry book written by R.h. Sin. I wish I could recommend all of his books because I love them all but this specific book really spoke words to me. This book is about self-care and self-love which is a very important trait to have. His words speak much deeper than most and show you how to let go of those unhealthy relationships. This book is available to purchase at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon.

2) I Love my Love

I love my love is my holy grail for books. Written by Reyna Biddy who is an amazing poet, she explores emotional reckoning and most importantly self-love. She heals the broken and gives hope to many who feel helpless. What I love most is that this is all based on her own journey to self-fulfillment so her work is very honest. This book is available to purchase at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon.

3) The Rose that Grew from Concrete

This poetry book is a classic. Written by the late Tupac Shakur he explores the problems that he not only faced but things that go on in our every community. His words are so real and his emotions are deep which shows throughout the book. This book is available to purchase at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon.

4) Bone

I got this book as a Christmas gift and I must say, this book is written very well. Yrsa Daley-Ward writing is very powerful in this book because she is telling a story that can be relatable for anybody. From gender identity, depression, to suicide and back she does make all these tragedies turn into something beautiful. This book is available to purchase at Barnes and Noble and on Amazon.
