Hey guys! If you know me personally you know I am your go-to person for good food spots in Chicago. What I love about Chicago is that there is so many culturally diverse food spaces you always have a variety. So I am going to give you all the deets on some of my personal favorite food spots in the area.
Bonchon Chicken is honestly the spot I never knew I needed until I got it. The chicken is unexplainably good. The flavor, the crispiness is unmatched. If you are ever in Chinatown please stop by grab a bite.
Now this is some fye chicken. Its a cute little southern eatery spot. Not only is the chicken good but the sides are super delicious.
There is never too many chicken spots in Chicago. I love this spot solely because of the chicken and biscuits! The spots are usually small but its a great place to grab a quick bite.
I love me some jerk food. I love Jerk 48 Jerk Chicken Phillys. SO good.
I love Litehouse and everything they do. Its like chipotle but 100x better. Build your own salads, pizza, pasta, wraps, and so much more. I love the variety they have. When there you MUST try any jerked items and if you get the wraps or sandwiches always get the Dirty Mustard Sauce, its the B O M B.
This was my favorite place to go when I was in college. Thai Bowl has literally the best Thai food in Chicago. I love their Crazy Noodles so so much.
When you want some good breakfast downtown Meli Cafe is one of the best. The potatoes are to die for.
Whew, Wishbone is that spot! They have the best cajun shrimp and grits I've ever tasted. This cajun spot has so many different food items I don't think you can go wrong with anything. They also have a great happy hour menu and who doesn't love good specials?
Nandos isn't just in Chicago but I have to include it because if you haven't tried their food you are missing out big time. No matter how I feel I can always eat some good ol' Nandos. Chicken? Immaculate. Mash potatoes? Like no other. I can literally go on and on about how good Nandos is but just try it for yourself.
This was another favorite spot for me in college. I loved their bread and pasta. I always got the Scampi Spinachi which was the absolute best.
Okay, Soule is that spot you HAVE to try. The food is so good I promise you. I use to hear people rave about it all the time and then when I actually went I knew they weren't just gassing it. This is a great comfort eatery filled with a bunch of flavor. If you don't try anything on this list, try this place for sure!
Yes, the FLAVOR Two Fish encompasses is crazy. This seafood spot is so good! 3 The Chi Way is my favorite sauce when getting the seafood bag.
I haven't been here in years but I still remember how good this place taste. This cajun spot is super delicious and has such a nice variety. Be aware that this is a cash only restaurant.
La Vaca is always a good time. The margaritas are super good. All of the food is bomb as well. This is a great spot for when you want to have a good time.
Okay, when we are talking about Puerto Rican food this one is my favorite! Jibaritos are bomb. Empanadas are like no other. Definitely try this spot when looking for a nice Caribbean feel.
Last chicken spot I swear. You have to try Budlong Hot Chicken. This chicken is different because its is Nashville famous chicken and the spices are so good! The sides are amazing as well.
This is one my favorite BBQ spots in Chicago. My mom used to always take us as a kid and this place still hits every time.
One of my favorite Asian spots in college. Joy Yee has some great food and even bigger portions. This place is great when going with groups and they have some of the best smoothies.
